The IFI Visayas-Mindanao Regional Office for Development (IFI-VIMROD) is the social development arm of the Visayas-Mindanao Bishops Conference of the Iglesia Filipina Independiente.
It envisions a Philippine society where the marginalized sectors have access to resources and participate in building a nation where abundance, joy, justice, peace and freedom reign.
Its mission is to facilitate the formation and capability-building of KKKs (Kahugpungan sa Katawhan alang sa Kalambuan or People’s Organization for Development) into self-governing and self-sustaining catalysts of community transformation in the Visayas and Mindanao.
IFI-VIMROD has four major strategies in addressing severe poverty among marginalized sectors in the rural, urban and depressed communities in the Visayas and Mindanao and in empowering people’s organizations for community development; namely;
- Community Organizing
- Advocacy and Networking
- Development Education
- Small Project Fund
IFI-VIMROD is governed by the Visayas-Mindanao Bishops Conference through a Regional Management Board and works closely with the bishops, priests and members to facilitate development interventions that will enable the organized sectors to become catalysts of community transformation.
IFI-VIMROD is in partnership with EED of Germany, Anglican Board of Mission-Australia and the Primate’s World Relief and Development Fund of the Anglican Church of Canada.
